Since its inception in Germany in 1953, the iF Design Award has been recognised as a symbol of exceptional design. The goal of this award is to spread the word about the value of design and what it can do for users, brands, and society.

Philips Mycreation demonstrated its design prowess among more than 10,000 submissions from 49 countries. The IF design award winning product ranges, Jewels and Voila, won over the jury, which was made up of renowned design experts from all over the world, scoring highly on 3 criteria, which are impact, differentiation, and idea in the Product discipline within the Lighting Category.

Design Approach

We are taking 3D printing to a new level by pioneering a modern version of design craftmanship where the beauty of printed forms, textures and materials are expressed while solving the technical challenges of sustainability.

Our target was to offer a wide choice of consumer luminaires, in a responsible way. We manufacture on demand (with no over production), locally and we use recyclable material for all our lamps. By manufacturing close to our customers, in different regions, we stimulate the local economy.

IF design award winnar: Jewels pendant range

Inspired by luxury interiors and working with soft geometric shapes, this collection was carefully created using layered shades to create visually arresting lamps.

Each of the three shapes has their own character but can be combined and hung in a cluster to create a feeling of a modern chandelier. The shade has the lustrous appearance of glass without the fragility. The diffuse light is captured and diffused by the inner shade and generates a soft glow.

The luminaire is equipped with a standard E27 fitting, which makes it simple to fit an LED bulb or smart bulb.

The IF design award winner among table lamps: Voila table lamp

This 3D printed light is a contemporary interpretation of a classic table lamp; its iconic silhouette, soft rounded corners, and single colour make it instantly recognizable, but at the same time having a modern twist.

The light shines up and down. The decorative pattern inside the shade creates a subtle light effect on the table, adding a playful touch to your home decor. The luminaires use a standard E27 socket for ease of installation, which can easily be fitted with an LED or smart bulb.

Our designers' mission is to bring 3D printed lighting to everyone — to create lights that people will love and can easily incorporate with their home interior.
